FADE IN:
EXT. FOREST, BY A RIVER -- DAY
TWO NAKED YOUNG WOMEN, LUCY and KIM are rubbing snow all
over each other, giggling and having fun. STUMPY, a weird
looking man with a slight hump back, short, grey hair, young
eyes planted in an old face, is building a BONFIRE nearby.
Occasionally Stumpy glances up adoringly at the two women.
STUMPY
Witches.
Kim wraps herself in her winter coat.
Stumpy helps Lucy with her coat.
Standing behind Lucy, Stumpy gently kisses the back of her
neck.
LUCY
Hey. Don't ever do that again.
Never touch me, or her. Do you
understand?
STUMPY
Ok. Sorry. I wasn't thinking.
LUCY
I know you weren't because you're
incapable of it.
KIM
Maybe someone needs to cool down.
They grab hold of him, rip off all of his clothes, pick him
up by the legs and arms, carry him down to the river, and
throw him in to the icy cold water.
Lucy and Kim are laughing.
But Stumpy isn't amused.
The girls are naked again, running around and jumping over
the FIRE and through the FLAMES.
Stumpy emerges from the river and approaches.

They take his hand and are running, hand in hand round the
fire.
EXT. FOREST -- LATER
Moonlight and Snow on the ground.
The three are walking in the forest.
They stop in front of a medium sized PINE TREE.
LUCY
What about this one?
Lucy and Kim saw the tree while Stumpy sits on a tree stump
and watches them.
KIM
Remind me again, why we need
him?
LUCY
We're responsible for all of our
pets.
Kim has a slight accident and cuts her arm.
Lucy kisses her arm, licks her blood and whispers to the
wound.
The blood disappears and the wound heals up.
STUMPY
(to himself)
If only she could do that to my
hemorrhoids.
KIM
(to Stumpy)
Well don't just stand there,
finish the tree.
INT. LOG CABIN -- EVENING
The cabin is very basic and Spartan with only a fireplace
and very little furniture.

The door opens and they drag the tree through the door into
the room.
Lucy flicks the light switch, but the light doesn't come on
as there is no electricity.
LUCY
Shit! No light folks.
They squeeze the tree into the corner of the room.
LUCY (CONT'D)
Shall we decorate it?
STUMPY
With what? There's nothing here.
KIM
Who's asking you? Let us worry
about the tree. You do the fire.
Lucy and Kim decorate the tree with anything and everything
they find. Cups, hats, slippers, clothes, knickers, old
shoes and Tampax.
INT. LOG CABIN -- LATER
They are all relaxing in front of the fire, wrapped up in
their sleeping bags and coats, drinking mugs of tea. They
admire their tree decoration work.
KIM
I can really feel the energy
from this tree.
LUCY
It's cleaning the whole place by
sucking out all the negativity.
KIM
And storing it all up.
STUMPY
Don't like the sound of that.

LUCY
All those dead negative spirits
sitting on our shoulders and
sucking the life out of us.
Very soon they'll all be nailed
to the tree.
KIM
Which is why we need to get rid
of it.
STUMPY
But we've only just cut it down,
dragged it through the forest
and decorated the bloody thing.
LUCY
Not now, idiot!
KIM
We get rid of it when we're
finished with it. Before we
leave.
STUMPY
Ok, but how?
LUCY
You have to burn it.
INT. LOG CABIN -- NIGHT
They are all asleep.
The main room light is on.
Lucy awakes to see Kim and Stumpy lying next to her having
sex. They see that Lucy is awake, but they continue despite
her.
KIM
(to Lucy)
Join us, kiss me. You'll be
glad you did.
LUCY
You're disgusting.

Lucy gets up, puts her coat on and walks away.
LUCY (CONT'D)
That's it, I'm out of here.
KIM
Lucy, come back! Lucy!
STUMPY
It's ok, she won't get far.
Stumpy pulls out a HARPOON GUN from under his pillow. He
points it at Lucy's back and fires.
The Harpoon Arrow THUMPS into her back and piercing through
her chest.
Blood explodes out of her and she SCREAMS.
Stumpy tugs on the rope, which is attached to the harpoon
arrow, and reels her in like a fish.
STUMPY (CONT'D)
See, I told you you she wouldn't
get far.
KIM
Thank you.
Kim kisses Stumpy.
INT. LOG CABIN -- LATER
It is dark with only the light of the fire.
Lucy awakens in horror and out of breath.
She is in between the others who are both fast asleep.
Lucy leans over to Stumpy, who is in a deep sleep, and smacks
his face hard several times.
LUCY
Bastard!
Stumpy jumps in terror, is half awake and very confused.

STUMPY
What?!
LUCY
Nothing, go back to sleep you
stupid idiot.
STUMPY
Jesus! What the fuck was that?
Stumpy rolls over and goes back to sleep.
Lucy gently checks under his pillow, but there is nothing
there.
INT. LOG CABIN -- LATER
Lucy is sitting in between the others who are both fast
asleep.
She is wide awake, holding her mug of tea.
The door creaks open.
An OLD WOMAN enters.
The main room light comes on.
Lucy glances to the others at either side of her.
The other two are still asleep.
She is terrified.
LUCY
Oh fuck no, not again.
OLD WOMAN
(smiling)
You have to sleep with him.
LUCY
Why? Why are you following me?
What do you want?
OLD WOMAN
You have to sleep with him.

7.
LUCY
I know what's going on. You
almost finished him, and you
need more fresh food, right?
OLD WOMAN
Sleep with him. Fuck him!
LUCY
Over my dead body witch.
OLD WOMAN
Alright, so now I have to kill
you.
The Old Woman moves closer and tries to grab her.
Lucy rises up out of her body.
She is looking down at herself sitting up with wide staring
eyes, holding her mug. The other two are still lying sleeping
on either side of her.
Lucy is flying around the room trying to escape from the Old
Woman who is flying around after her, SCREECHING and WAILING.
She wants to catch her and kill her.
OLD WOMAN (CONT'D)
I'll suck the life out of you!
LUCY
(to the other
two)
How can you sleep? Wake up!
The Old Woman pulls out the Harpoon from under Stumpy's
pillow.
At the first opportunity Lucy tries to wake the others by
violently shaking them, kicking them and slapping their faces.
But it has no effect.
LUCY (CONT'D)
I need fucking help here. Wake
me up!
They can't feel anything and continue to sleep.

8.
EXT. FOREST -- LATER
Lucy is flying around through the trees.
There is silence.
She suddenly realises that the Old Woman has stopped
screeching and wailing.
She stops to catch her breath.
INT. LOG CABIN -- LATER
Lucy re-enters her body.
She is panting, out of breath, still holding her cup and
shaking.
The main room light has gone out with only the dim light
from the smouldering embers of the fire.
Lucy sits up in shock.
Kim and Stumpy stir and wake up.
KIM
What's wrong? Are you ok?
LUCY
No, I'm not ok. She was here,
flying around, chasing me. She
tried to kill me, it was
terrifying, I couldn't come back.
KIM
Well it's alright, you're here
now. After all you know she
wasn't real.
LUCY
You don't know what you're talking
about. I'm telling you she was
here, she was real.
They all sit together.
The room is brighter.

9.
Stumpy is stoking the fire. His hump has disappeared.
He looks younger and his hair is now dark.
They look at the tree.
The Old Woman is dead, hanging on the tree like a decoration.
